This past snowy Sunday (Superbowl Sunday at that!) we were exhibitors and assistant organizers for the sixth annual Persian-Canadian Bridal Show hosted by DJ Amir3000 at the gorgeous Paradise Banquet Hall in Vaughan.
We were there bright and early to set up our booth, with decor touches provided by Sherisse at The Wedding Decorators (thanks Sherisse for all your help!). Here is the setup:
There was no shortage of beautiful things to look at! The Persian ceremony is called the Sofreh Aghd. An integral part of the ceremony is a large spread of symbolic items, such as eggs to symbolize fertility or honey to symbolize the sweet life the couple will have together once married. Here is an example of such a setting:
But of course there were other flowers and pretty things to look at:
There was no shortage of fabulous entertainment from Negar to J. Stixx and the incredible G. Pinto!!!
There was also a fashion show featuring some incredible gowns!
It was a busy day to be sure but we had a great time and met some incredible people!
