Country Chic in Beautiful Bowmanville!

This wedding was one that we were really looking forward to because it was very different from the usual banquet hall fare.

We were hired as the wedding planners to help Alaya and Matt bring their country tented wedding to life, on the bride’s parents’ farm in Bowmanville.

The bride had a very specific idea of what she wanted in terms of the decor.   A clear-top tent, vintage glass and informal country florals.  And it turned out spectacularly!

The weather was perfect for this mid-June wedding.

The ceremony was set to place on the front porch of the farmhouse:

Meanwhile, the couple did their “first look” in the back yard:

The ceremony was gorgeous:

NOTE:   The groom is from Bermuda.   Apparently it is a tradition that in Bermuda the groom and the men in the bridal party wear blazers, bermuda shorts (in a whole range of fun colours!), dress socks and dress shoes.   Who knew?

The tent looked amazing.   And the reception began:

To celebrate the groom’s Bermudian heritage, the couple used a map of Bermuda for their seating chart:

The receiving table featured a vintage suitcase card/gift box, and an instant camera photobook:

Centerpieces consisted of trios of single flowers in vintage glass bottles that were varying colours:
