As part of the Love Mexico 2015 experience, I was treated to a visit to the 5* Sun Palace Property in Cancun, as part of the Palace Resort chain in Mexico.
This hotel is a smaller boutique style hotel with 252 rooms. It is located 15 minutes from the Cancun airport. It is a couples-only property. As part of the Palace Resort line, guests are allowed to visit the other Palace Properties (stay at one, play at six) and receive a $1500 resort credit to use towards their vacation.
This resort is a great choice for honeymooners because it has received TripAdvisor’s 2014 and 2014 Travelers Choice Award for Romance.

Now because this is a couples-only hotel, all the rooms feature a king bed and have a whirlpool tub.
There is a small but well-appointed fitness centre for those that want to keep on top of the vacation calories!
There is a buffet restaurant, several bars and more casual eateries but here is the La Tratto restaurant, their Italian a la carte restaurant:
As you head outside there is a terrace area that is often used for receptions when the crowds head inside at sunset:
You then find yourself at the infinity pool and overlooking the beach of Cancun:

Of course weddings are fully customizable and you can apply, with some conditions, your $1500 credit towards wedding packages.
What is interesting about this hotel is that even though it is right in the main Cancun hotel zone, it doesn’t feel like you are crowded between other hotels. You do feel like you are in your own little piece of heaven.
A good choice if you like the intimacy of a smaller resort with luxury amenities right on the Cancun strip.
