Our September Wedding Weekend Marathon kicked off this past weekend with the nuptials of Patricial and Lewellyn (Lee) at Atlantis, Ontario Place.
It was a gorgeous day – lots of sunshine and a perfect Fall temperature. The view was awesome of the Toronto skyline (I love Atlantis!).
The engagement portrait of our delightful couple was set up for signing by the guests.
The placecards were set up alongside a massive cookie buffet all handmade by the family of the bride and groom!
Patricia and Lee treated their guests to a generously-stocked candy buffet, where guests could pack up Chinese takeout boxes personalized with Patricia & Lee’s name and wedding date on them.
The cake was traditional white with red-trim, three tiers and the slice I got was a delicious raspberry-lemon flavour. The cake topper was a custom made bobblehead figure of the couple:
The room decor was set around a burgundy/red theme and it looked perfectly Fall without being overly so.
The head table was similarly set, but in an interesting V-shaped pattern which venues rarely do but I find really nice:
The tablescape looked like this, with table names instead of numbers. All the names were significant to either the bride’s Italian heritage or the groom’s South African background:
The centerpiece, closer up:
Finally, with all the set up done, it was off to the ceremony to watch the happy couple finally say “I Do!” This is the sand ceremony portion of the ceremony:
And then for the Kiss!!!

Once the light faded and the candles took over… the room looked fantastic from the Mezzanine view!
And the party went on until the wee hours of the night! Congratulations Patricia and Lee!
