It was a glorious summer day when Saydi and David exchanged vows at Liuna Station in Hamilton, Ontario in front of family and friends.
Liuna Station is a unique venue in that it is a former CN railway (train) station, revitalized into an event venue with grand ballrooms and luxurious details reminiscent of a time gone by.
The setting was perfect for this young couple, very much in love and very much ready to start their new life together.
The ceremony was held indoors, which the guests appreciated, in the Grand Lobby, with its marble columns and gold & copper ceiling.
The ceremony decor consisted of a white aisle runner, gorgeous florals with stunning dusty rose dahlias in tall gold vases, and tall floating candle vases.
The rings are exchanged….
And the register signed….
And the pronunciation of husband and wife at last!
You just have to capture the moment with a group shot outside….
Then it was off to the party in the King George Ballroom, the newest ballroom at Liuna Station, built on the lower level where the tracks once were. As a result, there is some very interesting architecture in the room such as curved metal beams on the ceiling. The ballroom itself was very opulent, with details befitting King George himself.
The bride and groom used the decor of the room to full advantage and brought in many of their own fabulous details to make their affair very elegant.
A family-oriented family, Saydi and David made sure they included photos of their parents and grandparents at their wedding to honour their heritage and the people who love them most.
The ballroom in its glory! Check out the ceilings!
From a different angle:
The couple chose to have a sweetheart table instead of the traditional bridal party head table:
The gorgeous gold beaded charger plates….
Antique candelabra centerpieces….
And luxurious florals complete the look….
“To the Moon and Back”… the inscription of the cake topper….
With a first dance to kick off the party….
And a cake cutting to keep it going….
It was a truly wonderful day for a gracious couple. Congratualtions!
