One of the most interesting and exciting weddings we’ve done came in the wedding of Lauren and Mike in mid-September. This easy going, down-to-earth couple were an absolute pleasure to work with for the past year.
They were looking for a venue that was going to be very different. And they certainly got that with their choice of the Toronto Reference Library’s Bram and Bluma Appel Salon. Wedding in a library? Who knew? And it was awesome!
First, check out this incredible bouquet, including some lace from Lauren’s grandmother who recently passed and was very missed on this special day.
The ceremony took place in the Novella Room:
Guests were treated to cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the Prologue Room. Here is the receiving table:
Rather than a traditional guestbook, guests were asked to sign vintage albums. Yes, this is VINYL!
In lieu of donations, the guests were notified that a donation was being made to the Lung Cancer Foundation in honour of Lauren’s grandmother.
The place cards were done in an old school library card catalogue! How awesome is that?
Some of the stunning florals on the receiving table:
Then off to the reception, held in the Epic Room!
There were several types of centerpieces in play:
Rather than a traditional cake, the couple opted for a cupcake display, set up on crates!
And the first dance for this awesome couple:
One of the greatest weddings EVER! Thank you for letting us be part of your day, guys! Much love!
