We’re proud to announce the latest certification added to the Impresario Events Destination Wedding and Honeymoon repertoire! In addition to being Sandals certified, both Karen and Zerlene are Certified Wedding Specialists for Mexico!
We attended the training course held at the fabulous Sunnybrook Estates over the weekend and got the opportunity to enjoy some of the sights, sounds and tastes of Mexico right in our frosty back yard!
We were greeted with tequila shots, a Mariachi band and a full-out fajita bar!
The florals in the room were spectacular:
And then we got down to business. We got the opportunity to learn so much about all that Mexico has to offer. Not only are there the gorgeous beachfront locations for weddings that folks automatically think about when the thought of a destination wedding comes to mind, but this is a country with thousands of years of history, a very distinct cuisine and a very vibrant culture. Just by venturing a little outside the norm you can be married in a convent rich in history, or parade through the town after your wedding with the townsfolk cheering you on and following you in procession, or be married in a ceynote (hidden bodies of water often underground or in caves), or say I Do in a luxury hacienda or a French-inspired mansion on the boulevard.
Throughout Mexico there are world-class hotels, a huge variety of picturesque locations, internationally-renowned chefs, exciting nightlife and rich traditions.
Featured were the Velas chain of hotels found on both the Pacific and Caribbean sides of the country. These hotels are ultra luxury all inclusive. Some are adults-only and some welcome families but they are all about pampering and giving all of your senses something to cheer about!
The Hard Rock properties were also featured, also super all-inclusive but with an edge. Colin Cowie, a big celebrity wedding planner, has joined forces with the Hard Rock chain to offer various wedding decor designs for your ceremony and reception. Generous resort credits can make your wedding very affordable! And as a mom of two young kids I was also happy to hear that they have their “Little Big Club” where kids can be entertained by the likes of Barney, Bob the Builder and Thomas!
Finally, we got to meet the fabulous JC from Palace Resorts. I have to admit I have always wanted to go to the Moon Palace and after learning more about this resort (newly renovated too!), I think that will be my next vacation spot! With almost 30 years of experience in the all-inclusive market and generous resort credits (transferable and extendable)…. how can you go wrong? And if you are getting married, they have a team of about 50 wedding coordinators (all certified by the Canadian Wedding Planner Association, WPIC) across their 7 Palace resorts so everything will be simply flawless on your wedding day!
We are so pleased to now be in a position to advise you about Mexico and all that it has to offer for your wedding or honeymoon. If you are interested in getting married in Mexico, honeymooning there, or just getting away from the Canadian winter….give us a call!
