Last Christmas we got a call from Naz and Rob looking for a wedding planner for their October wedding. They had already found and fallen in love with the urban chic charm of the Berkeley Church in downtown Toronto.
A unique venue, the Berkeley is a former Methodist Church that has been gutted and turned into an event venue, run by the Berkeley Event Group.
With a beautiful ceremony area on the mezzanine, in front of large picturesque windows, it makes for some fantastic photos.
Nas and Rob had been maintaining a very long distance relationship with Nas in Ireland studying for many years and Rob back home in Toronto. It was wonderful to see them getting married and being able to remain together from here on in. A true day to celebrate!
The decor was simple and in fact was a labour of love for Nas’ mother who made all the centerpieces, ceremony decorations and other accessories.
Nas and Rob share a passion for sailing and the sailboat motif made its appearance throughout the decor, from the menu cards to the cake.
Many thanks to Mario at Avangard Photography or the photos while beautifully capture the day. Check out the groom’s expression at the First Look when he sees Nas for the first time in her wedding gown!
